Privacy Policy

SalonHireHub is an online job portal connecting salon professionals with salon businesses in India. Our registered address and contact details are available at privacy@salonhirehub.com.

We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

Account data name, email address, phone number, password hash (stored by Supabase Auth)

Profile data city, skills, experience years, preferred language (job seekers); salon name, address, category, logo (salon owners)

Uploaded files resume (job seekers), verification documents and photos (salon owners). Stored in private Supabase Storage buckets.

Job application data cover message, experience years, application status

Session data device type, IP address, last login time (security purposes only)

Log data error logs, search queries (no personal identifiers in search logs)

We also set a cookie_consent cookie to remember your choice on our cookie notice.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (e.g. _ga) to measure site usage. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Reject" on the cookie banner (shown again after clearing cookies), which stops analytics from loading. No advertising cookies are used.

Contract performance to provide login, posting, and application features you request

Legitimate interests fraud prevention, security monitoring, service improvement

Legal obligation retaining transaction records as required by applicable Indian law (IT Act 2000)

Active accounts data retained while your account is active

Deleted accounts personal data purged within 30 days of deletion request (audit logs anonymised, not deleted)

Resumes / verification documents deleted within 30 days of account deletion or on explicit request

Application records retained for 2 years for dispute resolution; anonymised after that

Error / security logs 90 days

We do not sell or rent personal data. Limited sharing only:

Supabase (database, auth, storage) — EU-region servers, DPA in place

Brevo (transactional email) — EU-based, DPA in place; only your email address and name are sent

Cloudflare Turnstile bot detection on forms; processes IP and browser signals; no cookies set

Salon owners when you apply to a job, your name, phone, email, cover message, and resume are shared with that salon

Under GDPR and applicable Indian data protection law you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data (most fields editable in your dashboard)
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Data portability — receive your profile and application data in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV)
• Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any right, email privacy@salonhirehub.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly from Dashboard › Settings › Delete Account.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Authentication tokens are short-lived JWTs. Uploaded files are stored in private buckets and are never publicly accessible without a time-limited signed URL.

SalonHireHub is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us for immediate deletion.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or an in-app banner. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
